Rwanda Gishamwana Island Organic

$20.00

Certifications: Fair trade, Organic, Bird Friendly

Cupping notes: The epitome of Rwandan Coffee. It has the chocolate, caramel, sweet cherry tobacco, raisin, fig, berry and orange notes with a zippy acidity, medium body and no earthiness. The sweet spot for this coffee is just before second crack (dark). A nice dark medium roast (Full City).

Farming notes: An island in Lake Kivu (1000 Sq. miles). Take a boat about an hour into the lake. No one lives there bu the coffee grows beautifully. Pests and disease haven’t made it there, so the coffee is bird friendly, Fair Trade, and organic. Heres a trailer about the island.

Its expensive, but for the die hard hobbyists and aficionados, its a rare exquisite coffee. A good one to try.
